At the recent CinemaCon 2024, Lionsgate showcased a new trailer for The Crow – Il corvo, directed by Rupert Sanders and featuring Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven.
Erik Davis from Fandango shared his enthusiasm for the trailer, stating, "We saw an extremely violent and hard-R rated extended preview. It’s going to be a pretty intense film. I’ve heard good things about it."
Trailer Overview
The latest footage highlights the relationship between Bill Skarsgård's Eric Draven and FKA Twigs' character, Shelly Webster. In a nod to the original narrative, Shelly falls victim to a criminal gang. However, Eric's motivations extend beyond mere revenge; a supernatural guardian informs him that he has the chance to save Shelly before her soul transitions to the afterlife.
Visually, Shelly's "purgatorial" state is depicted as she struggles against an endless expanse of water, her spirit sinking deeper into the abyss.
The trailer also features a montage showcasing Eric's healing abilities after sustaining multiple injuries, including being hit by a massive truck. A guiding guardian tells him, "You have the powers of a God," as he begins to harness the abilities bestowed upon him by the crows.
