Ousmane Dembélé Rejects Al Hilal's Offer, Set to Stay at PSG

Ousmane Dembélé has turned down an approach from Al Hilal, affirming his commitment to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) instead. The 29-year-old forward, whose contract runs until 2028, has expressed his desire to extend his stay with the French champions, as reported by Sacha Tavolieri.

Dembélé's decision marks a definitive refusal of the lucrative offer from the Saudi club, which had hoped to add the Ballon d'Or winner to its roster. Al Hilal had already signed Crysencio Summerville this summer and is pursuing Bayern Munich's Luis Díaz, but Dembélé was not swayed by the prospect of a substantial salary.

New Contract on the Horizon

Rather than moving to Riyadh, Dembélé is expected to negotiate a new contract in Paris. His current deal with the Champions League winners is set to last until 2028, and sources indicate that an extension is anticipated.

While teammate Bradley Barcola is contemplating a departure from PSG due to limited playing time under coach Luis Enrique, Dembélé remains a crucial figure for the squad.

Key Player in PSG's Recent Success

Last season, Dembélé was instrumental in PSG's second consecutive Champions League triumph, contributing significantly with 19 goals and 11 assists across 39 appearances. He was honored with the Ballon d'Or in 2025 and named Ligue 1 Player of the Year for the second time in a row. This year, he is also considered a top contender for the Ballon d'Or.

His impressive form continued during the World Cup held in the USA, Mexico, and Canada, where he scored a hat-trick in just 32 minutes during the group stage match against Norway. Dembélé made the switch from FC Barcelona to PSG in 2023, taking advantage of a €50 million release clause.

Despite facing challenges at Barcelona after his €135 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund, Dembélé has matured into a world-class player at PSG, aided by a shift in his professional attitude.
