Héctor Fort Aims for a Future at Barcelona Amidst Transfer Speculations

Héctor Fort, the 19-year-old right-back, is considered a potential transfer candidate at FC Barcelona. However, the young talent has no intentions of leaving Camp Nou.

According to a report by the Spanish sports newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Fort is determined to secure a spot in the Blaugrana's squad. The promising player, who is contracted with the Catalan club until 2029, is viewed as someone who could be sold, but he has different aspirations.

Fort, a member of the Spanish U19 national team, is focused on impressing coach Hansi Flick and earning a place in the starting lineup. He sees the summer preparation weeks as a significant opportunity to showcase his abilities. Currently, a transfer is not on his agenda.

Last season, Fort gained valuable experience on loan at Elche, where he played 17 matches in La Liga. Now back in Catalonia, he is eager to make his mark and remain with the team.

Competition for the right-back position at Barcelona is fierce, with Jules Kounde currently established as the first-choice player under Flick. Additionally, if Joan Cancelo returns from Al Hilal as planned, he could provide depth not only on the left flank but also as a backup to Kounde on the right. Youngster Xavi Espart is also vying for playing time in this competitive environment.
