Liam Neeson is making a triumphant return to the action genre with the release of the first trailer for his upcoming film, "The Mongoose."

Since Neeson announced his retirement from action films in late October 2024, he has appeared in three action-packed movies: "Ice Road 2: Vengeance," "Die nackte Kanone," and "Cold Storage." While these films were completed before his announcement, his next project marks a new chapter. Filming for "The Mongoose," directed by Mark Vanselow, commenced in February 2025. Additionally, Neeson has three more action films and thrillers lined up, including "Run All Night 2," "The Fix," and "The Riker’s Ghost."

Fans of Neeson can rejoice as he continues to embrace his action roots. The trailer for "The Mongoose" teases an exhilarating car chase reminiscent of the "Fast & Furious" franchise.

In the film, Neeson portrays Ryan "Fang" Flanagan, a war hero wrongfully accused of a crime. Forced to evade the law, he takes off in a Ford Mustang Shelby, leading to a nationwide pursuit. Although it appears to be a direct-to-video release, the trailer promises plenty of excitement for Neeson’s fans, showcasing his character's impressive driving skills.
