Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga Unveiled at CinemaCon Amidst Audience Excitement
Warner Bros showcased new footage of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga at CinemaCon, thrilling the audience with intense scenes and a glimpse into the film's storyline.
The anticipation for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is building as Warner Bros presented new footage at CinemaCon in Las Vegas just hours ago. Directed by George Miller, this installment is set to hit theaters next month.
The newly revealed scenes provided a deeper look into the narrative, structured in three chapters: "Her Odyssey Begins", "The Awakening of a Warrior", and "Race for Revenge".
The first clip depicted Furiosa recalling her mother during a pivotal encounter with Dementus, moments before witnessing her mother’s tragic death. Dementus later sells her to Immortan Joe, leading to Furiosa's vow: "If you find him, he’s mine". In an intense moment, she grabs Dementus by the hair, declaring, "My mother, my childhood… I want them back".
The second segment showcased an exhilarating chase reminiscent of Fury Road, while the final clip featured Joe's henchmen racing across mountain peaks.
Critics were left in awe, with Matt Donnelly from Variety describing the experience as a "sonic and visual onslaught of fire, metal, chainmail, war paint, crushed bones and bloodsoaked revenge". He noted that the audience was ecstatic, stating, "In other words, it played f*cking awesome in the room". The scenes are expected to have an even greater impact when viewed in IMAX.
Featuring a cast that includes Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, Alyla Browne, and Tom Burke, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is set to be released in the United States on May 24, with its Italian debut a day earlier on May 23. For more details on the film, check out our dedicated page!
