Exequiel Palacios Seeks Transfer from Bayer Leverkusen

Exequiel Palacios, the 27-year-old Argentine international, is reportedly looking to leave Bayer Leverkusen. According to the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, Palacios has formally expressed his desire to depart from the club.

Previously, it was suggested that while Palacios was considering a transfer, he had not made any official requests. Now, however, his intentions are clear, and he appears eager for a new challenge.

Initial reports indicated that a top club from the Premier League was Palacios' preferred destination. However, it seems he is now also open to a move to newly promoted Ipswich Town.

Ipswich has reportedly made an offer of around 20 million euros for the Argentine midfielder, while Bayer Leverkusen values him at approximately 35 million euros. It remains to be seen whether the English side will increase their bid to meet Leverkusen's asking price.

Palacios joined Bayer Leverkusen in early 2020 for 17 million euros from River Plate. Over the past season, he made 25 appearances across all competitions, contributing one assist and logging 1580 minutes on the pitch.

The developments surrounding Palacios' potential transfer will be closely monitored as the transfer window progresses, with fans and analysts alike eager to see where the midfielder will land next.
