Markus Krösche Addresses Transfer Speculations Surrounding Can Uzun

Can Uzun, the talented forward for Eintracht Frankfurt, has been the subject of intense transfer speculation over the past few weeks. However, sporting director Markus Krösche has stepped in to quell these rumors for the time being.

A number of high-profile clubs have shown interest in the 20-year-old, including Galatasaray, AC Milan, and most recently AS Roma. Reports from Turkey have been frequent, suggesting that a move to the Bosporus could be imminent. Galatasaray's head coach, Okan Buruk, has even publicly praised Uzun, confirming the club's interest.

Despite the swirling rumors, Krösche remains optimistic about Uzun's future at the club. He stated, "There are no signs that he will leave us. There are always various news stories coming from Turkey; there is a lot of speculation."

Krösche has high hopes for Uzun's contributions next season, especially under the guidance of the new head coach. He emphasized, "With the way Adi Hütter wants to play football, we can position Can in ways that allow him to showcase his greatest strengths."

The sporting director praised Uzun's remarkable finishing ability and highlighted his capacity to create opportunities for teammates as well.

Turkish media has kept the transfer rumors alive, suggesting that a potential agreement with Galatasaray could involve a fee of around 40 million euros. However, reports indicate that Krösche is holding out for a price of 60 million euros.

Uzun made the move to Frankfurt from 1. FC Nürnberg in 2024 for 11 million euros. During the last season, he made 28 appearances, scoring ten goals and providing seven assists.
