Astrid's Escape

On Tuesday, July 14, in "Demain nous appartient," Victoire informs Martin over the phone that Astrid's renal failure is improving, and she is expected to be discharged within 24 to 48 hours. After hanging up, she tells Chloé that Astrid will be processed as soon as she leaves the hospital, but that they will be cleared of any wrongdoing.

Victoire expresses her regret about the situation, particularly concerning the debt she feels towards Astrid. She recounts a traumatic incident from their summer camp when Astrid saved her from an attempted assault by intervening and pushing the attacker overboard. The attacker was found with alcohol and drugs in his system, leading to the case being closed without charges.

Later, Victoire visits Astrid's room to check on her progress, assuring her that she will be able to leave after a night of rest. However, Astrid, fearing imprisonment, pleads with Victoire for help in escaping. Victoire insists that Astrid must promise not to attempt any escape and focus on preparing her defense for the upcoming trial.

Despite her promise, Astrid devises a plan to distract Nordine, the guard at her door, claiming she has severe back pain and needs immediate medical assistance. Once Nordine leaves, Astrid seizes the opportunity to flee, stealing clothes and glasses from another patient’s room.

Nordine soon realizes something is amiss and alerts Victoire, who rushes to Astrid’s room only to find it empty. They are both shocked and immediately inform their colleagues about the escape attempt.

In the hospital lobby, Victoire, Chloé, and Nordine search for Astrid. Suddenly, Victoire spots her exiting the elevator and crossing the lobby. Astrid thanks her on the way out, and Victoire and Chloé choose not to intervene. Are they now complicit in her escape?

The Perraud Brothers' Rivalry

At Spoon, Sébastien and Marianne are brainstorming ways to enjoy their day off. They decide to take advantage of Raphaëlle and Martin's pool. Upon arrival, they discover the pool is already in use by Marguerite and Daniel, who are taking aqua aerobics classes led by Benny.

Despite the crowded pool, Sébastien and Marianne decide to stay. Sébastien expresses his desire to join the class, but tensions quickly rise, leading to a physical altercation between the two brothers, prompting Benny to give up on the session.

Later, while still in the water, Daniel complains of a cramp. Sébastien helps him back to the edge of the pool using a pool noodle, and once Daniel is safely out, he expresses his gratitude for the assistance.

Violette's Struggles

Meanwhile, Philippine is trying to encourage her daughter Violette to get outside or find a summer job to distract her from the ongoing trial. However, Violette lacks motivation and prefers to stay in bed.

Later at La Paillote, Philippine overhears a conversation between Sofia and Manon, where Manon expresses regret that her sister cannot join their family on vacation. Philippine then concocts a plan to convince Violette that Sofia has a family emergency that requires her immediate replacement. Violette agrees to step in, much to the delight of Ellie and Marceau.

Sofia, on the other hand, is thrilled to have secured time off to spend with her family, leaving only Nordine in Sète.
