Astrid's Arrest

At the police station, Martin interrogates Gautier's half-brother, who reveals that Gautier had previously faked his death in a life insurance fraud scheme. The two had been collaborating on scams for three years, with Astrid as his accomplice.

After releasing the half-brother, Martin gathers statements from Audrey, Victoire, Erica, and Chloé, who have all decided to come forward about Astrid's manipulations. He informs them that Astrid and Gautier were involved in fraud, and she likely killed him to eliminate him as a threat. This revelation implicates the women as accomplices in murder, leading Martin to prohibit them from leaving the city while awaiting the prosecutor's decision on their custody.

Later, Martin discusses the case with Manon, who notes that Astrid often communicates through hidden symbols. She realizes that the name she gave to her fake daughter corresponds to a village near Perpignan, close to the border. Martin promptly alerts the local gendarmes.

While hitchhiking in the vicinity, Astrid is ultimately apprehended. Nordine brings her back to the Sète police station, where she encounters Audrey and Victoire, who have learned of her arrest. Victoire accuses Astrid of manipulation and throws the earring she had gifted her at her feet. Despite the accusations, Astrid maintains her innocence regarding Gautier's death.

Violette's Ego Blow to Diane

Violette confides in her mother that she is reluctant to attend her meeting with lawyer Maître Perraud to prepare her defense for the upcoming trial. Fearing that this summer could be her last free one before serving time, she wishes to enjoy her remaining days.

Philippine goes to the lawyer's office alone, where Maître Perraud emphasizes the necessity for Violette to be committed, as her case is complex and the outcome is uncertain. She warns that Violette could face a five-year prison sentence. Philippine assures her that Violette will be present for the next meeting.

Meanwhile, Violette is at the beach with Bastien, where Diane interrupts to discuss the impending trial. Violette retorts, suggesting Diane focus on her own life instead of meddling in others, particularly highlighting Diane's perpetual single status.

Deeply hurt by the comment, Diane heads to the bar at the Paillote, where Marceau immediately notices her distress. She confides in him that no boys are showing interest in her. Marceau offers to be her backup plan if none of the other guys manage to make a move before summer ends, and she accepts.

Sébastien Opens Up

Before a lunch with the Moreno family and Bruno, Marianne prepares a list of discussion topics.

During the meal, the conversation predominantly revolves around fishing, which begins to bore the women. Suddenly, Sylvain bluntly asks why Sébastien is upset with his brother, prompting Sébastien to share the truth, leading everyone to take sides in the unfolding drama.
