Jadon Sancho's Potential Return to Borussia Dortmund Amid Atletico Madrid Interest
Speculation about Jadon Sancho's return to Borussia Dortmund continues, but with Atletico Madrid also showing interest, the situation remains complex.

The ongoing speculation surrounding Jadon Sancho's possible return to Borussia Dortmund continues to capture attention. While Dortmund appears hesitant, other elite clubs, including Atletico Madrid, have entered the fray.
Sancho remains a significant topic of discussion for Borussia Dortmund. A recent report from Bild has reignited the rumors, suggesting that Sancho is "still very open" to a move back to Dortmund and would be willing to accept "substantial salary reductions" to facilitate the transfer.
Sancho Open to Dortmund Move
However, as has been indicated previously, Dortmund may only make a move for Sancho late in the transfer window, and only if they still see a need for reinforcements in their attacking lineup. Currently, their primary focus is on Greek talent Konstantinos Karetsas.
The club has reportedly increased their offer for the 18-year-old to over 30 million euros. It remains uncertain whether there would be any budget left for Sancho if Karetsas is signed. Nevertheless, the 26-year-old would be available on a free transfer following his contract expiration at Manchester United, although he would not come without costs.

It is clear that for Sancho to make a return to Dortmund, he would have to give up quite a bit. The substantial salary he earned during his time at Manchester United—reportedly up to 18 million euros gross—would not be matched by Dortmund. Furthermore, the typical signing bonus associated with a free transfer is also unlikely to be offered.
Patience Required for Sancho's Transfer
To achieve his desire for a third stint at Dortmund, Sancho must not only be willing to make sacrifices but also exercise patience. Meanwhile, other clubs are also showing interest in the former Bundesliga star. According to Bild, Atletico Madrid is monitoring the situation and contemplating a potential transfer. Ultimately, the decision rests with Sancho himself.
