Eric Nam Takes on the Role of Aang in Upcoming Animated Sequel
The voice cast for Aang: The Last Airbender has been announced at CinemaCon, featuring Eric Nam as Aang and Dave Bautista as the villain. The animated sequel is set for a 2025 release.

During the Paramount panel at CinemaCon, the voice cast for Aang: The Last Airbender, an animated sequel to the beloved series, was unveiled. Eric Nam, a prominent K-pop artist, will voice the titular character, Aang.
Nam steps into the role previously held by Zach Tyler Eisen and DB Sweeney. The film also features Dave Bautista, known for his portrayal of Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy, who will voice the film's antagonist. Aang: The Last Airbender is set to be released in 2025.
Fans can currently revisit the original series on Netflix, which is also home to the newly released live-action adaptation.
The Avatar animated universe includes two animated series: Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. In 2010, a film titled The Last Airbender, directed by M. Night Shyamalan, was released in theaters. The original series aired on Nickelodeon for three seasons from 2005 to 2008, consisting of 61 episodes. It is set in a fantasy world and follows the journey of young Aang and his friends as they strive to save their land from the formidable Fire Nation.
