Eren Dinkçi Set for Return to Werder Bremen

Werder Bremen is reportedly on the verge of securing Eren Dinkçi, a 24-year-old winger, from SC Freiburg. This move marks a return for Dinkçi to the Weser, where he previously made his mark.

According to information from Deichstube, the two clubs have reached an agreement for a loan deal. Notably, the agreement does not include any purchase option or obligation. Negotiations have been ongoing for several weeks, and they recently gained significant momentum.

Only minor details of the contract remain to be finalized, as per the Werder-focused portal. Once these are settled, Dinkçi is expected to undergo his medical examination at the Weser at the beginning of next week.

If all goes according to plan, Dinkçi would become the latest addition to Werder Bremen's squad this summer. Just last Friday, the club officially announced the transfer of former HSV star Ludovit Reis, who is 26 years old.

Dinkçi made a move to Freiburg in 2024 for a fee of five million euros. However, he has found himself sidelined in the plans of coach Julian Schuster at the Sport-Club. In the second half of the 2025/26 season, the forward was loaned out for the second time, having previously spent time at Heidenheim.
