The implication is clear: substantial investment often correlates with success on the pitch. However, relegated teams that were financially struggling in the Bundesliga face significant challenges. This is particularly true for St. Pauli and Heidenheim this season.

In contrast, Wolfsburg would need to make considerable missteps to jeopardize their chances of an immediate return to the Bundesliga.
