Bayern Munich Eyes Premier League Striker Igor Thiago for Offensive Boost
Bayern Munich is reportedly interested in Brazilian striker Igor Thiago from Brentford as they seek to enhance their offensive lineup.

Bayern Munich is reportedly on the lookout for an offensive reinforcement, with a focus on a Brazilian striker currently playing in the Premier League.
According to journalist Nico Schira, Bayern has expressed interest in Igor Thiago, a 26-year-old forward from Brentford. Initial discussions between the two clubs have already commenced.
Thiago made a significant impact in the previous season in England, where he scored 25 goals and provided one assist in 40 competitive matches. His performance has made him one of the standout strikers in the Premier League.
At Brentford, Igor Thiago is under contract until 2031, having been signed from Club Brugge for €33 million in the summer of 2024.

Given the length of his contract and impressive goal-scoring record, Brentford is likely to demand a transfer fee significantly higher than the original amount. Transfermarkt.de currently values the Brazilian international at €65 million.
While Bayern Munich is reportedly in talks to extend Harry Kane’s contract beyond its 2027 expiration, the club lacks a true top alternative in the central forward position.
It remains to be seen whether Bayern's interest will lead to concrete negotiations. After acquiring Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari for a combined total of €100 million, the club may not be planning any further expensive signings during this transfer window.
