Vadim takes a first step towards Patrick

At the residence, Vadim (Léo Mazo) discusses his mother's funeral with Noémie. Then, the young woman advises her boyfriend to reach out to his biological father, Patrick: "He really cares for you and is trying to show it as best he can. It's a shame you can't accept it," she tells him.

At the Mistral medical office, Patrick visits Vadim, but Babeth informs her husband that the nurse is not there: "You really want to take a place in his life, but this is not the right time," she confides to him. Suddenly, Patrick receives a text from Vadim saying he agrees to let him come to the funeral. Patrick is relieved.

Noémie goes to the Nebout household to babysit, but Patrick tells her that he is giving her the evening off to stay with Vadim. Patrick takes the opportunity to inform her that Vadim has agreed for him to be present at the funeral, then thanks her: "For me, it's really important to be by his side."

Yaël sees Louis as his father

In the morning, Barbara (Léa François) points out to Louis that she finds him less present since their discussion about fatherhood: "It would be good to clear the air." Louis promises her that everything is fine, that he has just been very busy lately. Suddenly, little Yaël calls Louis "dad," creating a general discomfort.

Louis tells Djawad what happened with little Yaël. He is happy that the little boy considers him as his father, but he refuses to replace Abdel. To reassure him, Djawad explains that Abdel will remain Yaël's biological father, but that doesn't prevent the child from seeing him as a second father.

At the end of the day, Louis admits to Barbara that he has indeed been avoiding her since their discussion about fatherhood. Barbara fears that Louis wants to leave her, but he reassures her about his feelings. He then confesses that being called "dad" by Yaël touched him deeply. Barbara tells him that she has no problem with Yaël continuing to call him that; on the contrary.

Baptiste makes a heartbreaking decision

Upon waking, Elena worries that Mathis is going to England. For Baptiste, this situation is hard to bear: "It's driving me crazy, I'm going to lose it," he confides to Chloé. At the same time, Emma is struggling to cope with her son's runaway. She discusses it with Alexis Mercadier, who tells her that such a drama could never have happened in England. As the conversation unfolds, we discover that it was Alexis who suggested going to London with Mathis.

At the Mistral, Mirta tries to convince Thomas (Laurent Kérusoré) not to abandon the end-of-year show, but he refuses to reconsider his decision: "I'm still very upset with Emma and her guy," he tells Mirta and Luna.

Emma brings Mathis back to Baptiste and Chloé. The little boy insists on performing the scene in front of his father and Chloé. The two spectators are moved to see Emma and Mathis so connected. In the evening, Baptiste announces to his father, Thomas, that he has made an important decision: he agrees to let Mathis go to London with Emma. "He needs his mom!" he explains, on the verge of tears.

Meanwhile, at the Mistral police station, Stanislas continues to investigate the whale. He now has proof that this mysterious individual is of Caucasian descent, 50 years old, 1.70 meters tall, and weighs 120 kilos. Stanislas tells Idriss that this man was working the day before the death of his wife and baby, and after that, there have been no further updates. He wishes to send this profile to Charlotte in hopes that she finds a clue.
