Teyssier Accepts That Rose Will Take the Exams

At the Institute, Rose confides in Marc and Carla that she regrets responding to Ferdinand's provocations by declaring that she would take the third-year exams. She intends to back out. However, Carla informs her that everyone is now aware, and she can no longer back down, risking losing all credibility.

In class, Ferdinand and Léonard discuss the situation. Ferdinand is convinced that Rose will pass the exams solely because Teyssier and Clotilde will never allow her to embarrass herself in front of everyone. In his eyes, nothing can prove Rose's legitimacy.

Meanwhile, Rose is summoned to the administration office. She claims to feel capable of passing the third-year exams. Teyssier decides to judge for himself and schedules a meeting with her at the Workshop.

They meet on-site a little later. Teyssier tasks her with creating a recipe from the ingredients he has selected for her, within 2 hours. After watching her work and tasting her dish, the director believes she indeed has what it takes to succeed in the exams. However, he wants to avoid any suspicion of favoritism towards her.

In the park, César proudly talks to Carla about one of the photos from the couple's photoshoot he did with Coline. The latter, however, points out that she received some not-so-nice comments.

At the end of the day, Teyssier gathers the students in the amphitheater to announce that chef Anne-Sophie Pic, the most Michelin-starred chef in the world, will be present as a judge for the exams. She will be as impartial towards the students as she will be towards Rose. Ferdinand and Léonard speak up: they believe there is no stake for the Master director, unlike the students who are playing for their future. Rose then publicly commits to submitting her resignation letter and leaving the Institute if she fails the exams...

Lionel Offers to Coach Fleur

Lionel admits to Zoé and Jim that he feels completely lost regarding his Master concept: the meat-based menu is too far from his values, while the 100% vegetarian option might close doors for him. He is even more apprehensive since the deadline is in two weeks. However, his sister motivates him to get to work.

Lionel runs into Fleur at the Economat and seizes the opportunity to offer to coach her for her exams. The young girl declines, explaining that she does not feel ready to spend that much time with him yet.

Later, the two exes happen to meet at the studio. Lionel agrees to let Fleur use the room, but he can't help making comments about her technique in plating the fish. Fleur retorts that she doesn't need his advice. Lionel draws a parallel to the time he taught her a basketball move. He proposes a one-on-one match: if he wins, he earns the right to coach her.

Fleur accepts the challenge. She loses the match. Lionel clarifies that she is not obliged to accept his coaching, but she insists on honoring the bet as it should be. Seeing them together, Jim worries that Lionel is spending more time helping Fleur than preparing for his defense. But the young man assures that he can manage both.

Alice Wants to Know Her Students' Feelings

While retrieving the pencil she forgot in the kitchen, Alice overhears a conversation between Thelma and Milan about the notes and comments that allow restaurants to improve if they are not up to par.

At the end of her own class, Alice distributes a satisfaction questionnaire to her students to gauge their feelings and improve. The students must answer about a hundred questions, rating from 1 to 5 and justifying their score with a comment each time. They must return it to her by the end of the day.

At the agreed time, Thelma drops off her completed questionnaire in Alice's locker. She runs into Mattéo and Milan, who admit to buttering up the chef in their responses and comments. Thelma panics because she was really honest. She now fears being flunked by her teacher.
