Alex Reunites with His Brother

During these final episodes, our hero Alex Cerutti finally finds his brother! The family reunion is, of course, emotionally charged… For AlloCiné, Vinnie Dargaud talks about these touching scenes, filmed alongside Antoine Duléry (discover this well-kept secret about his character) and Benjamin Gaitet:

"We had to be efficient and get into the mood very quickly. A week before I shot with Benjamin Gaitet, I didn’t know who was going to play my brother! I was quite surprised when I discovered him because we don’t really look alike... (laughs) But I was told to trust, and indeed, something happened in the look between us."

"We believed it when we shot the reunion scene! I hope he says the same thing, but I think we inspired each other enough to play beautiful scenes of reunion and complicity. For this kind of sequence, we always feel a bit more apprehensive because they are 'more important,' which requires more concentration and involvement."

Alex and Lisa as a Couple?

That’s not all… The last minutes of season 1 of Haute Saison suggest that a closeness between Alex and his partner, Lisa (Joséphine Draï), might occur in the continuation of the series, if there is one. The captain indeed casts a significant look at his favored partner while she is dismissing a man...

When asked about this, Vinnie Dargaud states: "I think if there’s something budding on Alex’s side, it’s not necessarily mutual. In any case, for that little look, if it was written that way, if it was thought that way, it’s probably not for nothing..."

"The writers must have something in mind. But I really don’t know anything regarding what they might be considering for the future. In any case, we weren’t at all counting on a romantic relationship between these two characters at the beginning," the actor concludes.
