Attack Score: Goals Plus Shot Volume
The Attack Score merges actual goals with the volume of shots taken. Goals receive a 60% weight, while shots account for 40%.
This structure rewards high goal totals without overlooking the offensive activity that produced them. Bayern led both categories in the 2025/26 season with 122 goals and 635 shots.

2.3 Making Different Statistics Comparable
Points, goals, shots, and market values exist on entirely different scales. Thus, we do not compare raw figures directly but instead evaluate a team's position within its comparison group.
To achieve this, we convert values into percentiles on a scale from 0 to 100. The top league value receives 100 points, with lower placements receiving proportionately fewer. For identical raw values, the average rank of the respective teams is used.
This percentile normalization prevents Bayern's exceptionally high absolute squad value from dominating the overall score mathematically. What matters is the relative position within the league.
2.4 Special Model for Schalke, Elversberg, and Paderborn

The Promoted Team Factor is a Model Assumption
The 0.60 factor is not an official performance coefficient. It serves to conservatively represent the demonstrably lower opponent quality in the 2. Bundesliga. This factor is the most uncertain aspect of the model and should always be considered when evaluating the three promoted teams.
The second-division data also illustrates why a blanket ranking of promoted teams is inadequate. Schalke secured the most points and had the best defense among the trio with 31 goals conceded, while Elversberg scored the most goals in the entire 2. Bundesliga with 64 goals and ranked second in shots with 517. Paderborn netted 59 goals and had 512 shots.
2.5 What the Power Score Deliberately Excludes
