AIOC Officially Joins AIAC, Marking a New Era for Football Observers
AIOC has officially joined AIAC, marking a historic transition for football observers in Italy and establishing new opportunities for growth and recognition.
On July 2, 2026, the members of AIOC (Italian Association of Football Observers) convened for an important assembly where they unanimously approved the association's transition into AIAC (Italian Association of Football Coaches).
This decision marks a historic moment for AIOC, heralding a new phase of growth, consolidation, and representation for football observers within one of the most significant associations in Italian football.
AIOC will be represented in the AIAC Qualifications Council by:
- Giannandrea Giancarlo (Representative for FIGC Observers)
- Jacomuzzi Carlo (Representative for Non-Qualified Observers, supporters of AIAC)
These representatives will advocate for the interests of football observers, contributing to the work of the AIAC Qualifications Council and fostering ongoing dialogue with the national bodies of the association. Their aim is to enhance the professional status of the football observer role.

In addition to this historic entry into AIAC, AIOC has reached another prestigious milestone: the signing of a Collective Agreement with the Serie B League. This agreement officially recognizes football observers for the first time in the history of Italian professional football, placing them within the category of Technicians.
This extraordinary outcome is a testament to the continuous efforts made by AIOC in recent years, representing a fundamental institutional and professional acknowledgment of the football observer's role and solidifying their place within the national football system.
