The English actor Anthony Stewart Head, who portrayed Rupert Giles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, passed away on June 5 at the age of 72.

An accomplished stage actor, he notably shone in musicals such as Godspell, Chess, and The Rocky Horror Show. His career took an international dimension in 1997 when he portrayed Rupert Giles, the mentor of Buffy Summers, in the cult series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
